Rings and Things Men Do

I am a very blessed woman. In addition to having three amazing kids, I have a wonderful man. It only took me to stop looking for the perfect one, for him to find me. I know it sounds cliché, but its the truth. :)
Sometimes I get so busy that I don't have time to eat! Taking care of my elderly grandmother (and three kiddos) definitely takes its toll on my energy level. Many of you know that I have Fibromyalgia in addition to the Osteoarthritis and Chondromalacia in my knees. So cooking dinner for everyone is not an every night thing for me. Thank God I have Mark in my life. Although he works every day, he never complains and I don't even have to ask fo him to cook dinner. Sometimes its a three course gourmet style meal (yes! The man can seriously throw down!), and other times its something simple and quick. Like hot dogs and mac and cheese.  And if I don't feel up to eating, without fail, he always makes me a plate for when I am ready. He is so good to me!

Sometimes he goes above and beyond what I expect from him. He's great at modeling some of my jewelry also. :)

Hehe! I thought it was cute enough to post. These are some wire wrapped rings I made before Christmas. They are sized but are adjustable as well. I gave some away as Christmas gifts to some family and got some amazing responses.
Here Is another ring I made awhile back. I absolutely love the way the color of the stone looks with the silver.

Hope you Enjoy!

Wire Wrapped Key Pendants and More

As usual I've been busy working on some new pieces. I'm very pleased with the way these turned out. I gave several away as Christmas gifts to some family members and kept one key pendant for myself. The rest will be going in my online shop as soon as I get it up and running.

Faux Opal Wire Wrapped Pendant

This particular pendant is one Im especially proud of. I made the cabochon with polymer clay and a final coating of resin. I used translucent(which btw, I ADORE!), pink and bits of green polymer clay. I added opalescent mylar flakes to create the "opal effect". After the baking and ice water bath process, I sanded and buffed it but still couldn't get the shine I wanted so I added a coat of clear resin which I think worked wonderfully! :) Finally, I wrapped the cab in silver wire to make it into a wearable pendant.

Faerie/Elf Ear Wraps

I was asked to make these for someone who had seen some and wanted some for themselves. These were a challenge! After googling some images, I sketched out my initial design. These were not as simple as I had imagined! What had I gotten myself into?!  I made a nice mess of things the first go 'round. I wasted a bit of wire and came very close to giving up...but I stuck with it.

Coming along!

Although they were a pain in my rear and I won't be making another pair any time soon, I am tickled with the outcome. My 4 year old niece asked for a pair for Christmas. She is just going to have to wait!  It will probably be next Christmas or even the one after that, before I will be ready to take on another set of these. :)

Finally complete!
